Annie, I know you like to be updated on the happenings in the life of Mr. Bates... Today I was informed that he's running for class president and taking a freshman to prom.

Well I am done with STAR testing... forever. I have to say I'm not gonna miss it.

One of my dad's friends got him a hat from UC Santa Cruz and it's got the school mascot on the front, it's sooooo cute! In case you didn't know, their mascot is a banana slug, it's so cool. I was excited :)

In weird news: there was a random attack of bees after school today. As we were walking up to the softball field, I noticed girls shreiking and running and basically looking stupid, but I couldn't figure out why. A few seconds later I realized there was a HUGE swarm of bees. They were all over the place. It was the weirdest thing I've seen. Nobody knows where they came from, but by the end of practice they had pretty much all left except for a few that were killed. We had a lot of fun watching people walking through the bees though. Very funny sight.

Hey Annie-
In this month's Seventeen, there's an article on Milo Ventimiglia, aka Jess from Gilmore Girls, lots of pics, I'm sure you'd love it babe.

The characters Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street were named after Bert the cop and Ernie the taxi driver in Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life."

Ernie is taking Annie to the Drive In on Saturday! That's cool. I've never been to a drive in, they're practically extinct, I'm jealous :)

I didn't go to softball today cuz there was no way I could possibly do any type of physical activity. So I went home after school, which hasn't happened in like 10 years. I watched The Body Guard. It was really good, I can't believe I hadn't seen that movie before. So now I keep listening to "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston and it is such a sad song! Then after The Body Guard I watched the Padres lose to the Phillies. That sucked, but Deivi Cruz hit a grand slam, which was pretty cool. Now I gotta go try to sleep because I need to be well rested for the lovely STAR testing tomorrow, ugh.

While everyone else is at school I am at home... being sick. I went and took my math test and then I couldn't handle it anymore and had to come home and be near tissues and have medicine at hand. On a different note, I can make cool noises with my throat :)
